Trail Concerns
Please report trail issues such as fallen trees, structure failures, or trail degradation (such as washouts/sinkholes/erosion) to trails@haneyhorsemen.com. Provide the trail name and location (such as proximity to trailhead/street) and a photo of the concern, if possible. For fallen trees, indicate whether the obstacle can be stepped over by horses or safely bypassed through the bush, or if the trail is completely blocked by it. Having a person or horse stand next to a fallen tree in the photo is useful to provide information to maintenance crews about the size of the tree. NOTE: If the issue requires immediate attention to protect public safety, contact the 24-hour dispatch line for the Maple Ridge Public Works Department at 604-463-9581.

Unauthorized Trail Building and Other Violations of City Bylaw # 6704-2009:
Signs of trail alteration, willful damage or inappropriate activity on the Maple Ridge equestrian trail network, or unauthorized trail building on municipal lands, should be reported promptly to the City of Maple Ridge Bylaws Department at 604-467-7305 or via email at licencesandbylaws@mapleridge.ca.
In addition to contacting the Bylaws Department, the Haney Horsemen Chapter of BCHBC also encourages the reporting of instances of unauthorized trail building to City officials as well. Please include photos when reporting, if possible, to: Director of Parks & Facilities, Valoree Richmond, via email at ParksOperations@mapleridge.ca

When contacting the Bylaws department, City officials, or the club about trail issues, please provide:
- the date
- the trail area or trail name
- as specific a location as possible (such as its proximity to a trailhead/street or intersection with other trails)
- a photo of damage/alteration/concern
